Carpathian chalet rental Sibiu Romania

Located in the tranquil embrace of Vale, a quaint shepherd’s village, Villa Zollo stands as a charming holiday retreat, offering a snug chalet experience. Set against the backdrop of lush valleys and wooded mountains, this haven provides a panoramic spectacle that captivates the senses.

Perched at the foothills of the Carpathians in rural Transylvania, a mere stone’s throw from the historic town of Sibiu, our villa beckons you to indulge in the serenity of the Romanian countryside. Here, the rhythm of life is marked by the gentle clip-clop of horse carts, the sole carriers of hay from the neighbouring hills.

Step inside to discover sprawling, sunlit rooms adorned with impeccable cleanliness. The warm embrace of rear-ventilated larch panelling creates a comforting indoor climate, inviting you to unwind. In essence, Villa Zollo epitomizes the perfect cottage for your family’s sojourn in the heart of Romania.

Spanning 5,000 square meters of manicured garden and boasting 152 square meters of living space across two floors, our chalet accommodates 6 to 8 individuals. This retreat promises not just a place to stay but an immersive experience, a tranquil escape into the embrace of nature, culture, and Romanian hospitality.

Ascend the stairs to discover the living room, a 34-square-meter haven adorned with oak parquet, nestled upstairs in Villa Zollo. This inviting space seamlessly integrates an open kitchen, a crackling fireplace, and an entertainment hub featuring an LED TV connected to Astra Satellite. You can take your place at one of the ten seats distributed across two tables, creating a convivial atmosphere for shared moments.

As daylight fades, retreat to the adjoining balcony, where the panorama unfolds, granting you vistas into the tranquil valley or the spectacle of the sun’s descent between the silhouettes of two forested peaks.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a large fridge combo, dishwasher, gas stove, coffee maker and espresso machine, toaster, kettle, spices, and more.

The first room (17 sqm), with windows opening to the east, south, and west is accessible from both the living room and the outer hallway. The first bathroom (3 sqm) adjoins the living room.
An interior staircase leads to the two bright rooms in the attic, the larger one with an oak floor and a balcony.

The second bathroom (8 sqm) with a shower, tub, toilet, washing machine, and a house pharmacy branches off from the hallway between the rooms. Each room features a double bed, TV, infrared panel, and plants. A pull-out sofa for up to two additional people is available in the largest room, preferably two kids.
On arrival, you will find the beds freshly made. Towels, soap and shower gel are provided.

Every element of the interior at Villa Zollo has been meticulously chosen, from the kitchen and sanitation facilities to the mattresses and linen. A dedication to precision is evident in the custom-made furniture, windows, doors, and stairs, all contributing to a harmonious and thoughtfully designed space. The rear-ventilated larch panelling ensures a wholesome indoor climate that remains invigorating throughout the changing seasons.

The solar-assisted central heating system at Villa Zollo is not just reliable but triple-backed for your comfort. Take charge by igniting the water-bearing fireplace in the living room, a radiant heart that effortlessly warms all the radiators in the house. Alternatively, relinquish control to an automatic system that seamlessly activates a gas heater and/or electrical infrared panels, all without incurring additional costs.

Step outside into the enclosed gardens, bordered by the gentle slopes of the surrounding hills. Here, on the terrace, you can unwind, perhaps grilling a steak on the stonewalled barbecue or basking in the warmth of an open fire. Raise a toast to the serenading crickets as the evening unfolds. Or, find a quiet spot beneath the branches of an apple tree, where you can immerse yourself in the soothing melody of birdsong, allowing your thoughts to wander in the embrace of tranquillity.
